High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is the future for HD video, as it enables only one cable to deliver both high-definition video and multi-channel, digital audio to digital display devices such as HD cameras and DVRs, LCD and displays. HDMI also enables an all-digital connection between digital source devices, such as DVD players, DVD recorders, D-VHS players and A/V receivers.
